White Rhapsody: Hakka Chapter
Huang Pei-Shu fuses classical, pop, and traditional opera and performs with the following artists: Chang Seho—electronic musician of the classical school; Chang Chung-Lin, Hakka finger-style guitarist from Miaoli; Wu Yen-Hsuan—guzheng artist and MA at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing; abstract DJ KITrust, and erhu musician Wang Wei-Kang. With the traditional analog synthesizer as the base and incorporating the mysterious sound of the theremin to create the impression of a film soundtrack, Huang’s voice will subvert your imagination of Hakka music.
